NIAID Clinical Terms of Award Restriction for China

For Human Subjects research in China, NIAID will include the term of award below in addition to the standard NIAID Clinical Terms of Award.

Restriction: All human subjects research conducted in China is restricted pending the receipt and acceptance of the protocol, the consent form, and detailed information on the procedures that the Chinese collaborators will implement to ensure proper informed consent of research participants. It is a requirement of this award that the Chinese collaborators follow the research protocol and consent form that are subsequently accepted by both parties (the grantee and Chinese collaborators) and their designated IRBs.

To learn more about how NIAID handles clinical awards, read the Clinical Terms of Award SOP and the other Human Subjects SOPs.
